P1Designs is owned and operated by Kim and David DelVecchio, and was created out of a personal need that David had after trading his 2007 Porsche GT3 for a 2016 Porsche GT4 in the fall of 2017. The dark and underwhelming character of the interior did not compliment the beautiful lines of the exterior or the performance of the GT4.

What resulted was a set of black and white houndstooth seat covers for the Lightweight Buckets (LWBs). Based on a lot of interest and encouragement from Porsche friends, some of whom also wanted to personalize the interior of their own Porsche GT cars, P1Designs was created. The business has flourished under Kim’s guidance, high standards, and the desire to help Porsche owners achieve the right combination of fabric, color and pattern, and comfort to meet their high standards and good taste.

Since early 2018, P1Designs has introduced the following enhancements:

Sourced Pepita fabric from Germany and various Tartan fabrics from Europe, and we are continually adding unique fabric options
Created seat inserts for 996 carbon fiber seats (covers and foam)
Created seat Inserts for 997 folding carbon fiber seats (covers and foam)
Created foam for 991 LWB carbon fiber seats (7 month development)
Created our first custom Tartan Fabric “P1Custom Yellow”, and our second custom fabric “P1Custom Red” is now available

Introduced memory foam option for 991 LWB carbon fiber seats in response to a customer’s request for greater comfort for the LWBs
Created seat inserts for Recaro Pole Position seats (covers and foam)
Developed integrated inflatable lumbar support in partnership with one of our customers (3 month development)
Created seat inserts for Carrera GT carbon fiber seats
Created seat inserts for the Porsche^® Speedster

A little background about Kim

Born into an entrepreneurial family whose family business is in the automotive equipment industry, cars are in her blood
Participated in her first PCA-DE in 2008 at the Pocono Raceway in our Porsche 996 C4
Regularly accompanies David to high performance driving events
Enjoys driving David’s track cars (especially the GT3) to and from our local mechanic for service and tech inspections (and anytime David is at the office)
Passionate about customer service, and feels there is nothing more gratifying than a customer’s satisfaction with P1’s product, and level of service provided during the design and delivery process

Porsche owner since 2004, Porsche fanatic forever

Attended first PCA-DE in 2004, and has driven tracks in Texas, Indiana, Connecticut, New York, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.

PCA Nationally Certified Driving Instructor since 2010 with experience instructing for:
